EGYPT - The LAND OF PHARAOHS 8 Days

ITINEARARY:  

Day 1 : Kochi/Trivandrum – Cairo

Assemble at Kochi/Trivandrum International airport, check-in as per flight timings. Arrive Cairo. After completing emigration formalities at Cairo airport. transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. (Meals: Dinner)

Day 2: Cairo

Morning - Breakfast at the hotel then our friendly expert Egyptologist guide will accompany you to the area - inspiring Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza was built 4600 years ago. Khufu, the successor of Sneferu, was known as a tyrant and in his arrogance he decided to have a tomb built that was bigger and better than all others. The three Pyramids: Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafra) & Mycrenios (Menkaura). The Great pyramid was built by King Cheops (IV Dynasty). King Chefren, the son of Cheops, built the second Pyramid and the third pyramid was built in the reign of “Menkaura”, the son of Chefren. The mysterious Sphinx, with its mask of Chephren and body of a Lion, stands Close by guard of the land of Pharaohs. The Sphinx and the three pyramids were considered one to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Then on to Sakkara lies 25 Km south of Cairo. Djeser’s (Zosser’s) step Pyramid, (built 4700 years ago), dominates the skyline and is believed to be the ancient Egyptians first attempt at pyramid building, to see the first pyramids ever built the step pyramid of Zosser. Overnight at Cairo.  After that you will visit the Coptic area of Cairo where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. Built on the ruins of two towers of the fortress towers is the church of St. Mary, more commonly known as the Hanging Church. Next you will visit St. Sergius where it is said to be the resting place for the holy family. In the evening you will be transferred for Pyramid Light and Sound show at the Pyramid area. Overnight. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 3: Cairo(Flight to Aswan) - Luxor(Onboard boat)

After breakfast transfer to Cairo airport to catch flight to Aswan. Upon arrival proceed for a tour to the Philae temple. As the centre of the cult of Isis, the island of Philae was an important place of pilgrimage for worshippers until long into the Christian era. From Philae, Isis was said to watch over the sacred island of Biga, one of the mythical burial sites of her husband Osiris. After the building of the Aswan Dam, the island’s temples were partly submerged in water and visitors took to rowing boats to peer at the remains. Then Aswan High Dam, one of the biggest dams in the World (measuring 360 feet high and over a mile and a half wide), was erected to store the flood waters of the Nile in Lake Nasser. Check-in the cruise. Overnight on the boat. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 4: (Onboard boat)

Early morning visit famous Abu Simbel temple. Return to the cruise in the afternoon. Visit Kom Ombo temple and then continue sailing. Later you will stop at Edfu to visit Horus Temple the second large temple in Egypt, Overnight on the cruise boat while sailing towards Luxor. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: Luxor (Onboard boat)

Arrive Luxor, after breakfast; begin your tour to the East Bank- (Karnak temple: the main center of worship in ancient Egypt and Luxor temple: has huge papyrus columns and was dedicated to the god Amun. One of its striking aspects is the remains of an ancient Christian Church and Abu Haggag Mosque. Here three religions represented in one place), followed by a free afternoon and evening, overnight on the boat. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: Luxor – Cairo (By flight)

An early morning, continuation our touring in Luxor, by visit the West Bank - Valley of the Kings: the remote, barren .It was the necropolis of the New Kingdom pharaohs. By digging their tombs deep into the Theban Hills, pharaohs from Tuthmosis I on hoped to stop robbers stealing the priceless possessions buried with them. Valley of the Queens: Named by Champollion, It lies to the south-west of the Valley of the Kings and holds the tombs of many royal wives and children. Of the nearly 80 tombs populating the Valley, the most famous is that of Queen Nefertari. Hatshepsut Temple: Against its stark mountainous backdrop, the partly rock-hewn Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir al-Bahri is a breath-taking sight. Colossi of Memnon: the two enthroned statues of Amenhotep III are the first monuments most visitors see on arriving in the West Bank, late afternoon flight to Cairo. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 7: Cairo 

After breakfast our friendly expert Egyptologist guide will accompany you to visit the famous Egyptian museum where you will see many precious antiquities. Then on to Islamic areas of Cairo, including the Citadel of Saladdin which boasts the famous Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Transfer to Cairo airport. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 8:  Kochi/Trivandrum

Arrive the middle east country for your connecting flight to your home land Kochi/Trivandrum.

Travel Documents & Requirements

  • Original passport with minimum 6 months validity from the date of tour arrival along with sufficient blank pages for the stamping of visa (Handwritten passport is not acceptable)

Important info

  • There is no refund for any services not utilized during the tour.
  • Guests are advised not to keep valuables in the coach/vehicle while sightseeing. The Company shall not be responsible for loss of valuables from the coach / vehicle. If the coach / vehicle is accidentally or otherwise damaged by the Guest, s/he will be required to pay compensation for the same.
  • Standard Check-in and check-out time of International hotels is usually 1500hrs and 1200hrs respectively.
  • Visa Disclaimer : Please note that a ultimate choice in regards to a visa application rests exclusively with the individual Embassy/Consulate. Visa cost is non-refundable.
  • To travel to any international destination, your passport must have a minimum validity of 06 months from your planned date of return.
  • SkyBlu International officials or representatives will NEVER ask you for your personal information i.e. your credit/debit card details, passwords, PIN, CVV, OTP etc. Please do not share these details with anyone over phone, SMS, Whatsapp, email or any other source.
  • Please Note: We reserve the absolute right to alter, amend, change or modify the tour package and itineraries. This may be necessitated due to factors beyond our control such as Force Majeure events, strikes, fairs, festivals, sport events, weather conditions, traffic problems, over booking of hotels/flights, cancellation/ re-routing of flights or railway, closure of / restricted entry at a place of sightseeing.
  • Airlines do not allow name change facility after ticketing is completed.

Booking procedure and payments:

  • A confirmation letter appointing us as the travel partners to handle your requirements and accepting the terms and conditions will have to be issued from your end. Customer should provide us the rooming list & meal request to us well in advance to confirm the same.

Payment terms

  • 50% of the total payment to be made at the time of booking.
  • 25% of the payment to be made at the time of confirmation of services.
  • Balance payment to be made 10 days prior to the departure.

Cancellation of the Tour by Client

  • If the client wants to cancel the tour, he must intimate the company in writing mailed to us at our office address on working days within office time. If the booking form has been signed by one or more persons for themselves and for others mentioned in the form, communication signed by such signatories would be treated as valid communication for cancellation for all such persons mentioned in the form. The computation of the period of notice of cancellation shall commence only from the time the written request reached the company at its office in Cochin on working days within office time. In case of cancellation, the following cancellation charges would apply:

75% of the tour cost

Less than 07 clear working days prior to the date of departure of the tour.

If the client is no show on the tour

100% of tour cost

In addition to the above, in case of cancellation of tour by either party, the amount spent by the company on visas, medical insurance, poe including administrative charges would be payable by the client. If the total cancellation charges mentioned above exceed the amount paid by the client, the balance amount would be payable by the client.

In case of third party products, the rules relating to cancellation and the cancellation schedule prescribed by the concerned third party service provider would be applicable and in addition the company shall have the right to claim service and communication charges.

It is a clear understanding between the parties that for the purpose of this clause cancellation can be due to any reason whatsoever including the reason of inability to participate due to any reason including illness, death, court orders, non-availability of travel documents etc.
